  • 0.640” Inner rim diameter

  • Shallow cup

  • #28 Throat

  • Medium tight backbore

In Paul’s own words:

“The JT 1B is actually a copy of an old Jet-tone mouthpiece that Bill Ratzenberger made for me back in the early 80's. It was a Jet-tone Custom 1B, hence the JT 1B. I had Jim New at Kanstul make a few of them for me* right after I joined the Jazz Ambassadors. I had lost a lot of weight and thought it would make my job a little easier if I switched back to that mouthpiece because it was a little smaller than the (Stork) 5MS I was playing at the time. The JT 1B has a fairly thick cushion rim. Thicker than the 5MS. Another comparison would be possibly a Warburton 6SV. Although, the JT 1B may have a slightly larger inside diameter it's still smaller than a Warburton 5SV.”

*The mouthpiece in this listing is the last remaining new mouthpiece from that very small batch.
